steps to surviving an unseasonable snowstorm (without electricity)

Step 1:  Play a family game of Monopoly
Step 2:  Make a fire & read on the couch
(that's my bro & his girlfriend Natalie...they came home from school for the weekend and got snowed in.)
Step 3:  Give in and go for a walk.  Storm Trooper helmet optional.
Step 4:  Decide you can overcome this storm no matter what.

I apologize in advance if I'm scarce around these parts this week.  We still don't have electricity (which unfortunately, means no running water) here.
While I do love sleeping under a pile of blankets, I don't particularly love doing it out of necessity.

(If you find yourself with extra candy, feel free to send it my way.  Really, I won't mind.)

  1. This was one of my favorite posts:) Mostly cuz of the last few pictures. haha that was such a fun weekend! Also, thanks for making me a button!

  2. I love a good ol' Monopoly game during a storm! Such a great idea! I hope you are keeping warm and having a great Halloween night!

  5. Monopoly can last for years, I think. So, that's a good way to pass through anything.

  6. Storm Trooper helmet not optional, mandatory! I want one! Haha. Star Wars geek here! lol. Hope you get power back soon, I know how crappy it can be without it!

Found you through Follow Fest, come check out my blog if you're interested, once you get your power back! I'm hosting my first give-away!
