a happy list

this photo was taken at a dear friend's wedding back in july.
i don't think i ever posted it on here, but it makes me smile, so it makes the happy list.

other things that currently make me happy:
spending time with that guy in that picture up there
brightly-colored fall leaves
bonfires & hayrides
scarves
cinnamon dolce lattes from starbucks
reorganizing and redecorating my room
crisp autumn air
new teacups
prepping for student teaching next semester
parks & rec
puzzles
spin class
knitting
my planner (geeky, i know)
fresh-picked apples
writing letters
visiting friends
cake batter frozen yogurt with blueberries

what's on your happy list?

  1. Love lists like this - such a good reminder to appreciate what we have and the little things in life. :)

My happy list is pretty much life in general right now. I'm happy with where things are so I can't ask for much more than that!

  3. A lot of the stuff on your list! Recently, I've spent so much time making my hubby and baby happy that I've neglected some of my own happy things...especially spin class!

  5. what a great idea.. I am thinking with my lack of sleep lately I am going to need to sit down and make a happy list. BTW I was over at From The Guest Room and I saw your book recommendation for Autumn is Persuasion! It is the next book on my reading list after I finish my book club book "What Alice Forgot" I can't wait to start it. I have been slowly working through all the JA novels and loving them (ashamed to say I didn't start reading JA until about 2 years ago).

    1. Ah! Persuasion is Jane at her finest. It's not as light and playful as her others, but it's wonderful. The characters have more depth than most of her novels. :)
