Golden Vlog // March

yay!  it's time for another round of the golden vlog with faith over at life with mrs. g and the artist!  i never thought i'd say this, but i kinda sort think i'm beginning to love this vlogging thing!

you'll have to excuse my appearance this month...i didn't exactly plan ahead and instead had to vlog after an almost-13 hour work day and a big event at church.  this is the real deal, people....me after a long day at work when i just want to crawl in bed.

i also had the hardest time answer this month's questions!  choosing my favorite anything is hard, but my favorite books/movies/tv shows?!  that's basically impossible for my fickle heart.  those favorites change with whatever's freshest in my memory, and friends, nothing is fresh in my memory after a long day.

also, before you watch this vlog which is basically all about my favorite tv shows, i have 4 words for you:  the unbreakable kimmy schmidt.
have you watched it yet?  it had me at the theme song.
for real.
stop what you're doing (that is, after you watch me ramble for 8 minutes about what i'm currently watching) and go binge watch your new favorite comedy on netflix!
and then come back and thank me.  you're welcome.

march golden vlog on vimeo.

tell me about some of your favorite books, movies, or tv shows!

  1. I also got in trouble for reading in class! Haha. And I also love using Netflix as background noise, as you mentioned, Monica. Right now, I am doing a rematch of Parenthood for that reason bc I don't have to pay attention, I can just work.

  4. Another person who got in trouble for reading in class, right here. I watch a lot of shows online because we don't always get them in Australia and if we do get them then they are a couple of months behind. So currently I am watching The Amazing Race, Once Upon A Time, Marvel Agent's of Shield, Perception, Baby Daddy, Hart of Dixie, Hawaii Five-0, Bones and When Calls the Heart.

  7. BONES! It's my all-time favorite! Catch up, girl!
And I really enjoy friends. I had never seen it before it came on Netflix and my hubby and I started watching and we made it to season 8, but I felt really convicted because I was becoming very numb to sexual sin, and it bothered me. I really want to watch, but at least for now I know I shouldn't :( yay obedience....
For the same reason, I cannot watch The Mindy Project, even though I think it is hilarious!

  11. Binge watching Parenthood on Netflix along with Once Upon A Time before it started back up. I also love Friends and Gilmore Girls, which I also binge watch on Netflix.

  12. hahaha that's because it was 11pm and i was trying to be quiet! I think that might be the first time I've EVER been called soft-spoken! :)

  13. Oh! I haven't watched either of those, but I've heard such good things about Parenthood! I might need to check it out!

  14. We are the same person! hahaha....Leslie Knope for life!

  15. I love Tina in everything too!! She's fantastic. And yes! I just got into it! Haha my mom has been watching it for a while, and I once walked into the room when Huck was torturing someone, and was like "I don't think I need to watch this!", but I'm so glad I gave it a second chance!

  16. Ugh, I need to catch up on Bones, but I need more hours in the day first! haha
I totally respect you for recognizing that and drawing boundaries! Go girl!

  17. YES! Parks & Rec is fantastic. However, the first season is terrible. So just push through that and get into the second-third season or so and it gets good!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yay! So glad I'm not alone in the getting in trouble! haha Agents of Shield seems good! I've only caught a few episodes here and there, but I liked what I saw!

  19. So sad! Friends is the best....I could watch it for forever! haha

  23. you're adorable. as always! and whoa- for working a 13 hr day, you look GREAT! my hair would be on top of my head with like, mascara all under my eye hahaha ;) Where have I been?! I didn't know Parks and Rec ended! Sad!

  24. Is that a Hungry Caterpillar shirt?

  25. Betsy, I totally understand being bored in HS. I used to fall asleep during biology class and never got in trouble because I was still one of the top students in that class.

  26. I've never really watched Parks and Rec, but I have seen almost all the seasons of The Office...so I know they're pretty similar in format--the mockumentary...but is Parks and Rec more or less or the same amount of seriousness as the Office?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think Parks & Rec is even sillier, in my opinion. I LOVE The Office, but Parks & Rec had me laughing way more. It's a different style of humor, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think we all had a hard time keeping this month short! Which I'm okay with. I always like hearing about favorite books/TV shows. I'm really glad to hear that you like Parks & Rec too! Surprisingly, I don't have very many people in my group of friends/family that can appreciate the humor.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nope, it's not. It's a shirt from church!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes! Totally agree with Leah...I'd say P&R is sillier, and a little cleaner too....Amy Poehler is just so funny in an adorable way!

    ReplyDelete
  31. That's so sad...it's such a good show!!
