Gifts for a New Mom

It's a little bit ridiculous how many pregnant friends I have right now.  Two out of my four bridesmaids will be pregnant (and I mean very pregnant) at my wedding, not to mention the at least four other good friends that will be welcoming their first baby into their families this fall.  There's definitely something in the water!

I can't lie, while AJ and I would really like to wait a few years before starting a family, I do love that so many of my friends are having kids because I certainly don't mind snuggling those cute little ones!  I also love shopping for baby stuff...baby clothes, baby blankets, cute little baby hats and shoes...I totally swoon over the adorable tiny-ness of it all!

Growing up, my mom always taught me that it's polite to take a gift to someone when they've had a baby.  Obviously, there's a baby shower to cover all of the big things, but taking someone a gift when meeting their new baby is definitely a good idea too!

While I love buying baby clothes, I also love gifting blankets, bedding, and nursery decor, because everyone buys a new baby clothes. The other great thing about giving bedding is that with a newborn, you can't have too much clean bedding laying around.  (Let's be honest...babies are messy!)  Having an extra set of crib bedding on hand makes it easy to change the crib if the inevitable mishap of throw up or an explosive diaper happens.

Disney has this great line called Disney Baby that features all of your favorite Disney characters in nursery bedding sets.  From crib sets to flannel blankets to super-soft throws, I found everything I needed to put together a great Lion King-themed basket for one of my favorite Disney-loving mamas-to-be!  The crib set itself includes a sheet, a comforter, and a dust ruffle (all adorably jungle-themed and perfect for either a boy or a girl!), and I also opted to pick up a pack of coordinating receiving blankets and a soft baby blanket.  I put everything into a pretty coordinating basket, and instantly had a gift worthy of saying "Welcome to the World!"

The whole line of Disney Baby bedding and products is available at your local Walmart!  While I love the Lion King Set, there are also other great options to choose from like Mickey, Minnie, Nemo, Ariel, Cinderella, and more!  The crib sets are awesome, comprehensive gifts, while there are also additional items available to really round out your gift!

I'VE SHOWN YOU HOW I WOULD GIFT THESE GREAT DISNEY BABY PRODUCTS TO A NEW MOM...NOW TELL ME...WHAT CREATIVE IDEA DO YOU HAVE?
