Twenty-Six.

Hey guys!

I'm popping in today to say hello because it's my birthday!  AJ and I just got home from our honeymoon yesterday and we're recovering from the travel and an awesome week in paradise.  I hope you've all been enjoying the awesome guest posts here on Heavens to Betsy in my absence...thanks to all of the girls behind those posts!  There are still a few more of those posts to come, but I promise that I'll be back and sharing some wedding goodness next week!

Today, I'm 26, which feels crazy and kind of old (I know, I know, it's not old at all...but don't you remember passing the midpoint of your twenties and feeling like you didn't feel like you should be able to say you're 26 already?)  But also, it feels pretty great!

Twenty-five was a great year.  It held a lot of ups and downs in my parents' health journeys, which were hard and stressful, but it also held some great things...like engagement and becoming a wife!

I feel like I kind of figured stuff out this year.  I finally felt like an adult, started making enough money that I could really put a lot into savings (and then spend it all on the wedding...just kidding...kind of...), and really fell into a good rhythm.  I also saw a lot of growth for this blog and my etsy shop, as well as in a few other creative areas!  All in all, this past year was a good one!

I love taking some time to reflect on the last year and look forward to the coming year on my birthday.  While the past year was a good one and I loved being twenty-five, I'm looking forward to all that's to come this year...settling into this marriage thing, possibly moving south, and who knows what else!  I can't wait to see what God has in store for us as we go through this next year!
